How we buy Rolex watches in Downtown Miami

Selling is by private appointment. We look at the watch with you in person, make an offer and walk you through how we reached the number. Your watch never leaves your sight, there's no consignment wait and there's no obligation to sell.

Vivid has been buying and selling fine jewelry and timepieces in Miami since 2010. Founder Alon Ruschin built the business as a direct buyer, which means we buy for our own inventory and trade channels rather than passing your watch up a chain of middlemen who each take a cut.

Classic Rolex watches

We buy pre-owned classic Rolex watches. The classics include:

  • Submariner
  • Cosmograph Daytona
  • GMT-Master and GMT-Master II
  • Datejust
  • Day-Date (President)
  • Explorer
  • Vintage Rolex classics

Not sure what you have? The model name is printed on the dial, and the reference number is engraved on the case between the lugs at the 12 o'clock side. Call us with the model and we'll let you know before you visit.

Other classic and signed watches

Alongside Rolex, we buy classic, signed watches from established luxury houses. Call us with the brand and model before you visit and we'll confirm.

What affects what your Rolex is worth

  • Model and reference. The reference number tells us the exact model, materials and production era, which drives most of the value. Some references trade well above others that look similar.
  • Condition. Case scratches and bracelet stretch matter, but heavy over-polishing that softens the case edges can matter more, especially on collectible models.
  • Box and papers. The original warranty card or papers and box make a watch easier to resell and usually raise its value.
  • Original parts. Original dial, hands, bezel and bracelet support value.
  • Service history. Recent servicing records help, though we don't recommend servicing a watch just before selling it.
  • Market demand. Pre-owned Rolex prices move with demand, so we price against the current market, not last year's.

How the selling process works

  1. Send details or call. Share the model, reference if you have it, and a few photos for a quick pre-evaluation.
  2. Book a private appointment at 169 East Flagler Street, Suite 905.
  3. In-person inspection of the watch, in front of you, with the offer explained.
  4. Get paid the same day if you accept. No consignment, no waiting for a buyer.

A better option than pawn shops or online listings

With a Rolex, the risks that cost sellers most are a low "safe" offer from a buyer who doesn't know the model, and the danger of shipping or meeting strangers with a high-value watch. Here's how the main options compare.

What matters Vivid Diamonds Pawn shop Online marketplace / mail-in
Safety of your watch Inspected in a private, secure office; never leaves your sight Handed across a public counter Shipped to a stranger, or met in person with a buyer you don't know
Who evaluates it Experienced luxury buyers, in person A general pawnbroker A remote buyer, often from photos first
Typical payout A firm offer, explained in person, with no fees Usually the lowest; built to cover a loan or quick resale Can be high, minus fees, commissions and haggling
Time to payment Same day Same day Days to weeks
Fees None None to sell; interest on a loan Seller fees, insured shipping
Transparent pricing Explained in person; no obligation Often take-it-or-leave-it Set by bids or an algorithm

If you only need a short-term loan and want the watch back, a pawn loan can be the right tool. For selling outright, a direct buyer usually wins on both price and safety.

How to get the best offer for your Rolex

  • Bring everything that came with it: box, warranty card or papers, receipts, spare bracelet links and service records.
  • Don't polish it. Polishing removes metal and can soften the case lines collectors look for.
  • Don't service it just to sell. The cost rarely comes back in the offer. Let the buyer decide.
  • Photograph it well for a pre-evaluation: dial, case side, caseback, clasp and the reference between the lugs if visible.
  • Bring a valid government photo ID. Florida law requires ID for secondhand watch and jewelry purchases.

Security & privacy

Every evaluation takes place in a private, secure office in the DuPont Building, by appointment. You never ship your watch, never meet a stranger in a parking lot, and never hand it over across a public counter.
